High-Quality Products Addressing Today’s Public Health Challenges

The Norwegian-owned pharmaceutical company Navamedic, with Swedish offices in Sävedalen and Stockholm, provides high-quality products targeting some of today’s most pressing public health challenges. Navamedic’s portfolio consists of both distribution products and proprietary products acquired through strategic acquisitions.
– We have, for example, acquired Impolin, with products such as MedMade, Modifast, and Absolut Torr, Sensidose with products for Parkinson’s treatment, and dne pharma’s portfolio within addiction medicine, says Alexander Lidmejer, COO/GM at Navamedic.
– In recent years, we have built a scalable organization with strong regulatory expertise and a solid understanding of customer and patient environments, enabling efficient European commercialization of our product portfolio.
Navamedic operates within the segments of prescription medicines, consumer health products, and hospital products. One of the company’s key focus areas is treatments for Parkinson’s disease.
– At the end of last year, we launched the prefilled dose dispenser OraFID with small dispersible tablets, designed to support Parkinson’s patients who need to dose multiple times per day.
– The dose dispenser helps patients stay within the therapeutic window and reduces the risk of missed doses. The product has been launched in the Nordics. Next year, it will be introduced in additional European markets, and in parallel we are exploring a launch in the United States.

Life-Saving Products
Another important product area is addiction medicine. Opioid dependence, including both natural and synthetic opioids, is increasing and represents a major societal challenge. Through the acquisition of dne pharma’s portfolio, Navamedic has become a leading player in the Nordic market for opioid substitution therapies.
– We offer, for example, a naloxone nasal spray intended for the emergency treatment of known or suspected opioid overdose. The product, which is also available over the counter, is used by emergency responders and hospitals. In this area, we collaborate with authorities in several countries to ensure product availability.
In parallel with a broader international rollout of products for opioid dependence, Navamedic is also expanding the market presence of its injectable antibiotic products for the hospital sector.
– We are a leading player in the Nordics within our product segment, and the Netherlands is next, where we will launch one of our antibiotic products. Looking ahead, Navamedic has strong confidence in the future, with clear goals and ambitions, says Alexander Lidmejer.
– While our existing products continue to grow in local markets and expand into new ones, we will also continue to acquire exciting products. Our long-term goal is to become a leading Nordic pharmaceutical company within our segments.
